Installation
------------

Until we get a proper install program going, you should follow the step outlined
here. At present we are assuming a reasonable knowledge of the Windows/NT
operating system and its concepts and management. If you are a rank beginner
then this is a good time to start learing!

Prerequisites:

It is assumed that the following have already been installed:

          TCP/IP.
          Remote Access Service.
A web browser, eg Netscape Navigator.

Procedure

1 Unzip the files into the directory you wish to have Fire Door
installed. There should be FireDoor.exe plus a set of .html files
           containing the online help.

2 Execute the command "FireDoor install". This will install the Fire
Door service into the system registry.

3 Execute the command "FireDoor start" to begin the service. Or you may
use the Services applet in the Control Panel.

4 Start your web browser and go to the page "http://localhost:1081".

If all has gone well you should be under way!! You can use the web browser to
program the Fire Door and set up its configuration and, more importantly,
register!!!
