Technical Notes
---------------

The Multimedia Catalogue (MM-CAT) is a software developed with Asymetrix 
Multimedia Toolbook v. 1.52.

It consists of the following files:

MMCAT10.TBK	The application
MMCAT10.TXT     This technical note
MMCAT10.ICO	Icon file
README.TXT      General Information

Information are contained in text files (.TXT), bitmap (.BMP),
digital video (.AVI), animation (.FLI or .FLC) and must be located in
the same directory of the MM-CAT.

To display AVI files you need to have already installed the Microsoft Video
for Windows Runtime, as well as the AAPLAY runtime to view the animation
contained in FLI and FLC files.

Information are grouped in Topics and refer to unique initialization files 
that have .BRW extension.

As an example, here is the contents of the Introduction file named 
INTRODUC.BRW.

The structure is organized as follows:

(no blanks before or after the commas)


MM-CAT is NOT a real database and has no links with DBIII files.
Please feel free to add every improvement you think necessary.


Minimum Requirements
--------------------

To run correctly the MM-CAT you should have on your hard disk
and in your path:

- Microsoft Windows 3.1
- Run Time of Asymetrix Multimedia Toolbook v. 1.52
  (the TBKMM extensions must be updated to 03/93)

and about the hardware:

- PC IBM or compatible 386 sx
- 3 Mb Hard Disk
- 2 Mb RAM
- VGA
