WinGen - Windows Genealogy by Paul and Robbie Andrew - v0.600

WinGen is a shareware genealogy database for recording your family's
history / ancestors / extended family / etc. It runs under Microsoft
Windows 3.1 (+ Win 95 and Win NT) and we wrote it because we couldn't find
any other decent Windows family history programs. Also because all the
DOS ones that we have found are hard to use.

The files that you should have received are:

README.TXT This introductory text file
WINGEN.EXE The Windows 3.x executable of Windows Genealogy
WINGEN.HLP The help file accessed when running WINGEN.EXE
ORGCHART.EXE DOS Charting program for printing trees from WINGEN
ORGCHART.TXT Detailed information on how to use ORGCHART.EXE
LPWIDE.EXE DOS printing program to allow printing of very wide files
              such as produced by ORGCHART.EXE
ROYAL.WGN English royal family tree
ROYAL.WMG Marriages for English royal family tree
ROYAL.WCM Comments for English royal family tree
GENESIS.WGN Biblical family tree from Adam to Jesus
GENESIS.WMG Marriages in Biblical family tree
GENESIS.WCM Comments for Biblical family tree

WinGen is shareWare. The unregistered zipfile is freely distributable without
modification. Please give your friends the WINGEN opportunity and copy
this disk or ZIP file. But please respect our work and don't give them
your registration code. Your registration code is not included on the distribution
disk but is sent to you separately. See the Windows help for details on how
to register and be able to store more than 100 people in the database.
Registration only costs US$60 (or NZ$85).

There are so many things that we would like to include in WinGen but it
would take forever to finish them all. So we are distributing it now to see
what people's reactions are. It is finished and it is a powerful family tree
database. We use it with a database of about 1500 people. This is the fourth
public release, version 0.600 (1st September 1995).

Please try it if you are interested in your family history. When you get the
hang of the visual tree you'll like it too! Check out the Getting Started
section in the help file.

Don't be scared of using the help system under Windows, we've tried to make
it easy to understand and you probably won't follow how WinGen works if you
don't read it.
