--- Version 2.3 ---

To all register 2.x users. Your license
is still valid for this version.

To all Quicken5 users who setup IQ to
start Quicken during an import, here
are some tips to make IQ work flawless
with this version.

1. Turn off the Quicken tips. The Quicken
tips window is displayed whenever Quicken
starts, and it will prevent IQ from
importing quotes. You can turn it off
by unchecking the 'Show Quicken Tips at
Startup' box when the tip is displayed
See pg. 21 in the Getting Started
   manual.

2. Turn Quick tabs off. With all the added
   features, Quicken is considerably slower.
Using the Quick tabs screen format, Quicken
takes a considerbly longer time to update
its window during startup and cannot keep
up with IQ commands. You can turn off
Quick tabs by selecting Options from the
Edit menu and then pressing the General
button. Under the section Quick Tabs, set
to 'Full-Window Mode'. See pg. 243 in
   User's Guide.

<<<<<<< IQ Changes >>>>>>>>>>

1. Changes to the [IQHook] section of the
   iq.ini file to support Quicken5.
   The changes made are backwards
compatible, i.e. IQ will work with both
   Quicken4 and Quicken5 with these
   changes.

2. Alternate date style option (dd/mm/yy).
This feature is mainly being provided for
Canadian and European customers who use
this date style. If your version of
Quicken has been configured to use this
style (See date style under Options->
   Register->Miscellaneous window), you
   should configure IQ accordingly. This
will cause IQ to use this style of date
   on the converted quotes.

3. Save window position on exit. If you
turn this feature on, IQ will save its
window's size and position when it
exit. When IQ starts up again it will
go back (stick) to where it was when
you last exit. This feature only
saves the position and size of the
parent window. It does not save the
position and size of the quotes or
   import child windows.

4. <<NONE>> parser set. This parser set
prevents IQ from converting quotes. This
parser set can be used with those services
such as Prodigy and Reality that already
provide quotes in the ASCII comma delimited
format. This allows you to take advantage
of IQ import facility without conversion.

5. Hot keys!!! When the import window is active
you can use the following keys to perform
the function as an alternative to using
   the mouse:
I - to import quotes into Quicken
S - to save quotes to a file
C - to close the import window

--- Version 2.2 ---

1. Fixed a stack overflow problem that
caused IQ to crash. This problem has only
surfaced when running IQ under Windows 95.

--- Version 2.1 ---

1. Fixed problem found with fractional
   number parsing which resulted in
   incorrect prices during conversion.

--- Version 2.0 ----

**** Completely new IQ ****

New Features:

1. User interface makeover that provides a view
of quotes before and after conversion.

2. DDE support for importing into spreadsheets.

3. Automatic conversion of quotes

4. Enhanced editor for creating parser sets.

5. Support for AOL quote formats.
     - Expansion of tab characters in quote file
     - Ability to parse fractional numbers "n x/y"
     - Ability to parse numbers with commas

6. Online Help

Bug fixes from previous release:

1. Retrieve up to 8 characters for the symbol name
instead of 9. Retrieving 9 characters would
append the first digit of the volume to the
symbol name for Compuserve quotes that had
   volumes >= 1 million.

----Version 1.5 ----
1. Fixed a problem detected in the new DLL.

----Version 1.4 ----

1. New iqhooks.dll to work with Quicken for Windows Version 4.
This DLL is NOT backward compatible with earlier versions of
Quicken for Windows, therefore 2 iqhooks.dll are now being
   supplied with IQ.
iqhooks.dll - works with Quicken for Windows 4.0.
iqhooks.old - works with earlier versions of Quicken for Windows.

   ***
*** If you are using Quicken for Windows Version 4, copy
*** iqhooks.dll to your IQ directory.
   ***
*** If you are using an earlier version of Quicken, i.e. 3.0
*** or earlier, copy iqhooks.old to your directory and rename

Registered users of IQ 1.0, IQ 1.1, 1.2 and IQ 1.3 should simply
replace their old iqhooks.dll file with this new one to work with
   Quicken for Windows 4.0.

2. New address for registering in the order.txt file.

----Version 1.3 ----
1. Enhanced iqhooks.dll. There were occassions found when Quicken 3
for Windows could not handle the speed at which IQ was feeding it input.
When this occurred, Quicken displayed the the following message:
"File not found or unreadable" and quotes were not imported. This
version will wait until the Portfolio View window is completely open
before sending Quicken the import keystrokes.

Registered users of IQ 1.0, IQ 1.1, and IQ 1.2 should simply replace
their old iqhooks.dll file with this new one.

----Version 1.2 ----
1. New iqhooks.dll that is capable of importing quotes into
Quicken 3 for Windows and is backward compatible with
   Quicken 2 for Windows.

Registered users of IQ 1.0 and IQ 1.1 should simply replace
their old iqhooks.dll file with this new one to import
quotes into Quicken 3 for windows.
